The theatrical group of the Arhangelos High School presents Aristofanis’ “Ekklisiazouses” in Carmen Rougeris’ adaption.

The plot: In the decaying society of Athens in 392 b.c., men are no longer interested for the politics and the city is suffering by the continuous wars. A very intelligent woman, Praksagora, organizes her countrywomen and take the control of the city as they are dressed like men. They apply the common ownership of the property and announce Peace.

The Carmen Rougeris’ adaption is still based on the Aristofanis’ wit but the writter’s scurrility is removed. Songs in traditional Greek rhythm are also added
