Rhodes dynamically enters the triathlete map with the race "Ocean Lava"

After the International Marathon "Roads to Rhodes Marathon" and the world of amateur cycling cup "UCI Rhodes GranFondo Tour" successfully held in April 2016, a third major sporting event joins the calendar of Rhodes.
The South Aegean region and in particular the Tourism Directorate continuing effort to highlight the months of April and October as months sport in order to extend the tourist season, co-organized by the club "Apollo Rhodes" and the race organizing company triathlon "Ocean Lava" the international "Ocean Lava Rhodes 2016" race.
This is an Olympic -distance triathlon event (1.5 Km Swim - 40 Km Bike - 10 Km Run) to be held on October 30, 2016 in Rhodes island starting at the main beach (Trampoline).
Note that the triathlon races "Ocean Lava" started in 2010 from Lanzarote in the Canary Islands, an eminently tourist region. In 2014 the games were extended to the rest of Europe and thus began the "Ocean Lava Triathlon Series" in several major European destinations, which joined and Rhodes too.
The 'Emerald Island', with those international competitions significantly enhances the sporting profile, has another chance to enter the world sporting map and attracts a specific audience from around the world. The Ocean Lava series put Rhodes in international triathlete map for sure!
The race "Ocean Lava Rhodes 2016" is one of the sporting events in the racing series that will follow in the coming years in Rhodes. It should of course be noted that both the international marathon, as the world cup amateur cycling and the race triathlon start pilot from Rhodes, the capital of the Dodecanese with the potential to become an institution and be extended to other islands of the Region.
