The traditional settlement of Antimachia, located at the central part of the island, is 25km away from the town of Kos. The village still maintains its rural character and many of its residents are poets and musicians, which makes them avid dancers and singers as well. The castle that the Knights Hospitaller built at a strategic location is the most important tourist attraction of the village. At the settlement you can visit a place of great folklife significance: a traditional house of Antimachia with its old furniture, utensils and farming tools. Info The coastal settlement of Mastihari serves as the seaport of Antimachia. Mastihari is favored by tourists more, has a nice beach and a daily seaport connection with Kalymnos.
