A picturesque village, built on a hillside. At a distance of 5km north of Arnitha, in a location called Agia Irini (Saint Irene), you can see the ruins of two early Christian churches. The largest one that built around the second half of the 6th century is believed to have been dedicated to Saint Irene. There are still pieces of mosaic floors and architectural marble element, although many of them have already been looted to be used in the reconstruction of other churches or houses.
