The traditional settlement of Koumaros is considered to have been built during the Venetian rule. It is very clean and well-kept; it has pleasant old marble springs and whitewashed galleries. Its church, Metamorfosi, gained its current form in the year 1817. Typical of the village is the coffee shop of the Association that remains open all day long. What is original about it? It operates without any employees or a price list!
