A principal village that flourished when farming was still a profitable occupation, as you will understand when you see the old shops, the squares, and its large houses. In the beginning of the 20th century there was a factory canning tomato paste and processing tobacco that operated in Komi. The square is dominated by the Catholic church of Agios Ioannis Prodromos with its pebbled courtyard.
