You can have an impressive view of this big and rich village built on a slope from afar. The settlement is divided into Ano (Upper) and Kato (Lower) Stenies. As you walk around the upper part of the settlement, you will come across the impressive houses of shipping magnates and captains, some of which belong to the Embirikos, Goulandris, Polemis, and Paleokrassas families. You will also see wall fountains built in 1968, arcades, the square that was built in 1953 and the elementary school of the village. In Kato Stenies, the imposing Bistis-Mouvelas tower house, which is believed to date back to the 17th century, stands out. The stone bridge of the Lion is located nearby. The large pasta factory that was built by the Embirikos family in the 19th century and is now deserted is also worth visiting.
