The lighthouse on the southern edge of the island (25.5 km away from Ioulis), among Kea and Kythnos, stands as a guard at a steep and infertile place also called Petroussa. It was built in 1893 to lighten up the strait which was indiscernible during the dark nights. The height of the stone tower is 7.5m.
