It is a Byzantine temple that was built in Lakki in the 11th century onto the ruins of an early Christian church, from which there are still some preserved mosaics. After the repairs and additions that took place in the 18th and 19th century, it turned into a three-aisled basilica with a semicircular portico. On the wall of the northwest side, there is a representation of Saint Maria of Egypt that dates back to the 13th century.
