The small village of Volax was built in an impressive landscape of round granite stone. Granite was used to build the walls of its houses. Aesthetically pleasing signs will lead you to the small theater, to the fountain from 1886, to the Catholic church of Gennisi tis Theotokou (Nativity of the Virgin Mary) 1814) and to the folklore museum. There are basket-weaving workshops –a craft for which Volax was famous– and there are taverns that also serve coffee.
