The beach has got thin black and red pebbles as well as a massive rock that can offer its shadow. It is not an organised beach. Within a small distance to the east side you can find the underwater crater of Kouloumpos that was erupted in 1650 for the last time. It is 500m beneath the sea surface but its north-western end is almost 10m deep.
