The characteristic Thiraic products –fava beans, cherry tomatoes, wild capers- grow in the volcanic soil of Thirasia as well. The “chloro” cheese produced in Thirasia is made from the milk of goats grazing on the slopes.

You can arrive at Thirasia from the small port Ammoudi (below Oia), from the port of Athinio or by the small boats visiting the volcanoes.

There are ΑΤΜs, a regional clinic, a heliport, cafes, mini markets, groceries, gift shops and a bakery.
