Your route begins from the monastery of Zoodochos Pigi and heading north you pass above the beach Chalara. The path is uphill and at some places it has very steep gradients, however in the most dangerous places there are safety rails. There is a need to be extra careful when there are strong winds. During the entire ascent, as well as at its end at the church of Panagia Kalamiotissa, the view in all directions is impressive.
