The settlement only has a few houses spread around the church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The construction of the imposing church began in 1919. However, it was completed in 1980. Panagia’s spacious houses with their snow-white walls that are scattered around the alleys and the cobblestone streets with flowery pots at their sides are a characteristic example of folk Aegean architecture. The built-in pots in the place of the chimneys are a particular feature of these houses. You will find small cafés, restaurants, rooms to let and mini markets in the settlement.
