From the area of Agios Spyridonas in Ioulis you will follow the path to visit an emblem of Tzia, the renowned Lion of Ioulis, or, as the residents call it, Liontas. The carved statue actually constitutes part of a massive shale rock connected to the myths of the island. It is a representative work of Kea’s sculpture and dates back to the early Archaic years.
