Chorio of Kimolos is a beautiful and traditional town with the typical Cycladic elements. The same architecture is also present in the settlements of the island.

The Medieval Castle (Kastro) occupies the centre of Chorio and it is built of hard local stone (‘sideropetra’). There used to be 123 two-storey houses that hosted one family on the upper floor (‘anogarides’) and another one on the ground floor (‘katogarides’).

In the fishing settlement of Goupa, in Rema, in Psathi (the port) etc. you may admire the “syrmata” (hewn caves on the soft rock, where the boats are kept) and the windmills at Xaplovouni and Karnaki.
