Kos Pyli-Marmari

This one is a picturesque village with stone houses at the foot of Mount Dikaios, in a landscape filled with olive groves and vegetable gardens that flourish due to the abundance of streams in the area. Pay a visit to the fountain with the six spouts, the Hellenistic tomb monument of Harmylos located under the church of the Holy Cross and the semi-dilapidated settlement of Palaio Pyli 4km southeast of there. The cosmopolitan Marmari is the seaport of Pyli and has a high level of tourism infrastructure all along its big beach. Close to the tourist resort there are natural salt marshes that are considered to be among the biggest in the Mediterranean and are the habitat of rare avifauna.
