Milos Ecclesiastical Museum of Agia Triada

The exhibits of the museum, which is housed in the church of Agia Triada, mainly derive from the abandoned churches of Zefyria (they were 17, but only Portiani and Christos are preserved). They include numerous icons of the Skordilides hagiographers (Emmanouil and his son Antonios, who worked in Milos after the middle 17th century).

The oldest icon is the Descent from the Cross of the 14th century (at the aisle of Agios Athanasios). You will see parts from the iconostasis of Christos in Zefyria, ecclesiastical vessels, rare jewelry, an incense burner of 1732, a wooden carved lectern of 1664 and more. At the court there are mosaics of 1932 by Ioannis Kavroudakis (scholar and earlier president of Adamantas). Right beside it, in a separate hall, an exhibition with black and white old photos and designs from the Catacombs of Milos.
