In the center of the monastery complex of Panormitis you will see the Byzantine museum where the toy boats and the bottles-votive offerings stand out which the believers left at the sea in order for them to travel by themselves towards the monastery. A typical example is the one that came from Leipsoi in 1998, with oil, candles, incense and believers’ names “for commemoration”. There are also objects dating back in 1930, a wood-carved epitaph cabin of the 18th century, swords and guns and a watch from 1896. In the folklore museum the costume of the sponge divers, millstones and different types of sponges, old utensils and tools, room representations and oil storage room stand out.
