This is one of the best beaches of the island with exquisite shingles and sand. It is located inside an enclosed bay created by the steep rocks at the end of the canyon under the mountaintop of Profitis Ilias. Up until 15 years ago there was a spring of high quality water in Ahata but it has since dried up.
