Ρόδος Μονή Αρταμίτη

Στη μέση της διαδρομής από Αγιο Ισίδωρο προς Εμπωνα βρίσκεται η μονή Αρταμίτη που ιδρύθηκε τον 9ο-10ο αιώνα και καταστράφηκε από τους Τούρκους. Κοντά στη μονή βρέθηκε επιγραφή, από την οποία προκύπτει ότι στην αρχαιότητα στο σημείο αυτό υπήρχε ναός της Αρτέμιδος. Σ’ αυτήν οφείλεται κατά πάσα πιθανότητα και το όνομα της μονής.
