Ο γεωμετρικός οικισμός της Υψηλής, που εντοπίστηκε μόλις το 1981, βρίσκεται πάνω σ’ έναν βραχώδη λόφο, σε χώρο 60 στρεμμάτων. Στην ακρόπολη ανακαλύφθηκε ναός που χρονολογείται από τον 6ο αιώνα π.Χ.. Πρέπει να ήταν αφιερωμένος στη λατρεία της Δήμητρας και της Περσεφόνης.
