According to the legend, the cave was named after an African pirate who used it as a hideout. The easiest way to get there is by boat. There are boats departing from the capital or Maltezana and taking visitors to the Vatses beach. The path leading to the entrance of the cave is difficult. However, it is worth the effort as the cave is large and filled with stalactites and stalagmites. You will also need a torch.
