A quite interesting climbing field is located at the location of Chalepes. It is an impressive limestone formation which starts from Chora and leads to the foreshore, between the port in Mersini and the beach of Tsigouri. In the summer of 2012 there had been a great effort to promote it by clearing it, marking the paths and opening climbing routes.
